Two students in the School of Engineering were recently inducted into the honor society Phi Kappa Phi.
Talal Ahmed Malik, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Santiago A. Monawar, a senior in electrical engineering, were inducted at a ceremony on Jan. 31.
Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, most selective, and most prestigious all-discipline honor society. It invites UNM’s top 7.5% of second-term juniors and the top 10% of seniors and graduate students to join, said Anita Obermeier, chair and professor of English and advisor for the honor society for UNM.
