Engineering Student Services

The Engineering Student Services Office provides academic support, skill development and support activities to undergraduate engineering students to assist in their transition to college. The School of Engineering is the only college at UNM that directly admits qualified beginning freshmen. The Engineering Student Services Office recently received a national award for outstanding student advisement.

Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) Program

WISE recruits, retains, and graduates women majoring in science, engineering, and mathematics. Women continue to be under-represented in all facets of scientific, engineering and technological fields. While WISE started as an initiative for women, men are also invited to participate. Through the program, undergraduate and graduate students can access career development services that include job shadowing, mentoring and workshops, as well as opportunities to volunteer and socialize. Visit the WISE website: www.unm.edu/~unmwise/.
