Welcome

Founded in 1906, the University of New Mexico School of Engineering offers outstanding academic programs leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science Degree, and Doctorate Degree. Research and practice are interwoven into nine accredited undergraduate programs and twelve cutting-edge graduate programs.

UNM is one of the nation's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company, known for its test-prep courses, features UNM in the 2009 edition of its annual book, "The Best 368 Colleges." Only about 15 percent of America's 2,500 four-year colleges are in the book, which contains a two-page profile on each school.

One reason for this ranking is the collaborative work by School of Engineering faculty, staff and students to create, apply, and disseminate knowledge that advances our understanding of the technological world and contributes important new ideas and innovations to society.
