University of New Mexico School of Engineering (SOE) students are a diverse group. Many are the first in their families to pursue a college education. They come from different academic, vocational, and professional backgrounds. And they come from varied geographic backgrounds -- around the state, the country, and the world. A student body this diverse has many different outlets.
SOE students are involved in projects that extend beyond the classroom walls, ranging from competitions, organizations, and activities on campus and in the community.
